I came back to LJ to let everyone know that LiveJournal could go belly up.

All the news on that is here

So if you need to back it up, you should probably do so now.
For some, I know this was kind of your life - well, the main diary of your life.
I'd rather not see anyone lose it all.

And again, I'm over at Tumblr now (michellep.tumblr.com) I've been posting there for awhile since LJ hasn't been cutting it for me lately.

Thank you and goodnight.

Ok so maybe this is the end.
Sort of.

oneboyarmy seemed to have convinced me that LJ is of little use for posting anymore (unfortunately I still have a paid account to use up. Oh wells.) I'm always up for change but LJ's changing is not to my liking. It hasn't been for awhile and I think I only paid for a month (I hope so) just so I could have some kind of variety to my layout and some more avatars. Meh.

I've been contemplating for a while on venturing into a different blogosphere, so Tumblr is my new home. I can post shit on the fly like Twitter allows. It's going to be a humorous disaster, I just know it, haha.

I will not delete this journal. I wish I didn't delete the previous one, but oh well. I may still randomly post here, but I think I am going to be posting there more often nowadays.

Obviously you cannot just friend me, but you can add the RSS feed to follow me with your LJ account. As far as commenting goes, not sure I have that worked out. I have a comment system set up on the actual blog, but I don't know if LJ recognizes this.

Mad. Mad, mad, mad.
I almost walked out of work today.
And things only got worse after I left.

I took tomorrow off otherwise I will completely flip out on someone, or multiple people. And when I say flip out, I mean I will slash their throat open and shove the knife up their ass.

Work has gotten to THAT point.

Oh, what a night...

Sooo.... I get lost easily - literally and figuratively speaking.
So I want a specific kind of chai (International Coffee Chai Latte is in my opinion, the best) and according to Google, Gerrity's of all places has it. Time to go grocery shopping!

Not. So. Fast.

I keep forgetting that the Thomas' Market on the Ave. in Kingston isn't Gerrity's. Ok no big deal, I'll turn around and go to the one in Swoyersville. Ah, well the first traffic light had a center lane, but, no left turn. So that leaves me sitting in the middle of the road with no where to go until the cars to my right pass me. I kept thinking, "They probably think I'm completely retarded." So the next left turn I see, I take. Dorrance Ave will take me to Rutter and back to the Ave. Well, here I am thinking there is a stop sign before I get to Rutter Ave. No the stop sign WAS Rutter Ave... and I kept going. I ended up in some part of Kingston I have never ever been before, in the dark of course, and I don't know where the hell I'm going. I can't seem to escape and I'm driving in circles - all the while laughing my ass off. I finally find Dorrance again and therefore find Rutter. *whew*

So I make it to Swoyersville and pray to god that Gerrity's isn't closed. No, they close at 10 so I have 45 minutes. Yay! They only have two tins of chai there, but it was fine especially since the cashier was uber nice and pleasant. I thought since I had time, I'd hit up the Gerrity's in Luzerne as well. Of course I turn left instead of right (WTF was it with me and left?) realized I went the wrong way and had to turn around. Thankfully in a parking lot this time. Back on track to Luzerne. They had at least 6 there (score!!) but I only took 4. The cashiers in Luzerne were all snotty kids. Great! It was such a hassle for them to look up my phone number (since I didn't think to take the number the kind cashier in Swoyersville gave me.) I walked out thinking how nice Swoyersville was over Luzerne and thought I should go there more often. Of course, since my brain isn't thinking on it's own, when I walked outside I was SO confused since I thought I was supposed to be in Swoyersville. The sight of Luzerne totally fucked me up until I remembered that, yes, I was in fact in Luzerne.

Whoa. Such an adventurous trip for some chai, I tell ya.

A story from a MMIAF reader:

I recently explained to my mom what “Yes on 8″ meant since there are a lot of signs in our neighborhood. We also just had two gay weddings in the family. On Thursday, at our neighborhood meeting, a woman running for a Senate seat in our district asked if we wanted a “Yes on 8″ sign for our lawn. I respectfully turned it down, but then my mom laughed and said loudly, “We cannot take! Our family has the gay!”

Our family has teh gay! ^_^

Manic Monday, FTL

My medicinal cocktail of antibiotics, antihistamines and decongestants have been keeping my coughing to a minimal, but my airwaves are now full of phlegm so speaking is pretty difficult. I try to keep that to a minimum as well. And I can't hear for shit. I just can't win with this. I'm going to have to go to the doctor, health insurance or not. Time to bite the bullet. Pay up, girl, otherwise you're going to end up with pneumonia or bronchitis. Do you really want that? I didn't think so.

But in more sensational news, my general manager quit this morning! Why? Because the Bossman is a total douchebag who things Steve is apparently a secretary/manager/janitor all in one! I feel for Steve, I really do. I'm jealous he quit. I wish I could. :[
This place is a total nightmare. I'm surprised Dave hasn't quit already. Real surprised.

So the new the new iPod speakers work exceptionally well. I went to Target, Circuit City, Best Buy, Toys R Us, back to Circuit City, back to Target, then to Wal-Mart where I ended up buying an RCA model. So Last.FM kept me amused while I cleared out the bedroom, re-arranged stuff, and generally acquired more space, minus the air conditioner still sitting in the middle of the floor, heh. That will go eventually. I need to find the box for it...

I kicked up a lot of dust though and that definitely agitated whatever is inside of me because now I've got a lovely whooping cough. I've been trying to keep it at bay with little success. Cough drops, Chloraseptic, Robitussin (oh god...), not helping too much. Then I find out that Ginseng helps bronchial passages, so I'm drinking Green Tea right now with honey. Helping a bit. I also found left over antibiotics. Yes! Now, in case you're wondering, the family all goes to the same doctor (general practitioner) and he always gives the same 2 antibiotics because it's usually some kind of upper respiratory thing going on: Amoxicillin or some long-named cortisteroid antibiotic. Minor differences between the two, but I was glad to find antibiotics period.

Watched the movie, Tideland, earlier. I think I liked it, in a way. Ah... well, I liked it and I didn't like it. I don't know. I think my expectations for it to be "shocking" or "disturbing" were a bit high and the movie didn't really meet them, so I guess I'm kind of disappointed in it. Doesn't mean it wasn't shocking or disturbing. Definitely not for everyone, hah. It was alright.
